Donnybrook-Kirup via Sandhills Road 

The Donnybrook-Kirup Scenic Drive is a beautiful tourist route passing through timbered country, orchards and picturesque grazing land.

To begin drive south along the South Western Hwy from the Donnybrook Tourist Info Centre for 2.5km, take the Boyup Brook turn off on the left.

Proceed for just under 1km then take the right turn onto Sandhills Road (scenic drive no.1). Sandhills Road will rejoin the South West Hwy at Kirup adjacent to the Kirup Tavern.

Along the way you’ll pass some truly breathtaking rural properties, Old Brookhampton Hall and Bedords Mill – the latter being a small private saw mill still in operation and open for visits.

Half a kilometre before reaching Kirup you can take a left turn on to Kirup Road and visit Grimwade, a small logging settlement. This diversion will take you through natural timber and pine plantations.
