On the Perth side of Australind along the Old Coast Road, watch for the signpost on the left to the scenic drive. This narrow road skirts the estuary, providing good entry spots for crabbing or picnicking. Scenic drive rejoins the Old Coast road after a pleasant meander of approximately five kilometres.
First settled in 1841, Australind has an abundance of history with many of the old buildings remaining. Australind is bordered by the Collie River and Leschenault Inlet which are both very popular for boating, sailing, windsurfing, fishing, prawning and crabbing.
