Donnelly River Village is a small township in the picturesque Donnelly valley located approximately four hours' drive south of Perth.
In the heart of a karri forest, Donnelly River Village is a preserved timber mill town. The mill was the only steam driven mill in the southwest. It was shut down in 1978 and is now heritage listed.
Rich in heritage, Donnelly River Village is also rich in natural attractions. Wildlife including emus, kangaroos, kookaburras and parrots are often seen in the area.
There are numerous bush walks from the village and the Bibbulmun Track, Western Australia's 1,000 kilometre world class walk trail, passes through the town.
Other natural attractions in the area include Four Aces, One Tree Bridge and Glenoran Pool. Donnelly Lake is a popular picturesque swimming and picnic spot. In the springtime, enjoy the bright colours of local wildflowers.
Cottages in the village originally built for timber mill workers have been restored and now provide holiday accommodation.
The village store offers basic groceries and snack foods.
