Yanchep offers the visitor a country lifestyle within easy distance from Perth. In late spring it's possible to see migrating whales, especially off Lagoon Beach a favourite family swimming beach where nature has formed a natural Lagoon.
Yanchep is coupled with neighbouring town Two Rocks and is often referred to as Yanchep Two Rocks. Located 45 minutes' drive north of Perth, the towns boast some of the most pristine beaches close Perth. Yanchep offers the visitor a choice of three licensed restaurants, one Chinese restaurant and a small beach-side cafe. Opening hours are subject to seasonal variations.
Yanchep National Park is close by and is a major tourist attraction for the district. Here you can see unique flora and fauna, caves and Aboriginal heritage. Other activities in the area include horse riding, fishing, bushwalking, caving, sailing, swimming, surfing and scuba diving.
Accommodation ranges from Farmstay Bed and Breakfast, normal Bed and Breakfast with walking distance of the beach, through to Self Catering and Motel style accommodation. There are no five star hotls in Yanchep, the highest rating is three and a half star. There are self contained units within walking distance of the beach and several houses for holiday rentals.
