The Swan Valley Wine Region is a pervasive region situated just to the north of Perth. With the perfect soil conditions, this region has been thriving since the 1800's. The vines planted became quite considerable in the 1860's with the production of not only wines, but fruit also. Since this early stage, the area was recognised for horticulture as well as viticulture.
This stable region has had substantial accelerations in production from the gold diggers investing, to the Southern Europeans settling after World War 1. With the Mediterranean climate and breezes coming off the Indian Ocean, this region is becoming very well known with the fine table wines produced.
