Annual Event: Dates to be advised
The 1892 discovery of a 554 ounce of gold in an area called Fly Flat in Western Australia proved to be one of immense national significance. From that find a town was established that is considered by many to be the "Birthplace of Australia's wealth".
That town was Coolgardie and on 16 September 2007 they will celebrate the 115th Anniversary of that find on Coolgardie Day.
