*Drive east out of Perth’s cbd, over the causeway across the Swan River, and one of the first suburbs you’ll encounter, off to your right hand side, is Victoria Park. *This solid, old suburb is home to Curtin University of Technology and the Western Australian Technology Park. Close to the city, Victoria Park is also central to most of Perth’s major sporting venues, such as the waca sports ground, Gloucester Park harness racing track, Belmont and Ascot racetracks and Cannington Central greyhounds. *Burswood Casino, too, is just down the road.
