How to get to Fremantle 

Fremantle is situated in the southwestern corner of Australia. It is surrounded by the Indian Ocean and the Swan River and is Western Australia’s main marketable port. Approximately 25 kilometres south of Perth, Fremantle is renowned as Western Australia’s second capital.

By Plane - The closest airport to Fremantle is located in Perth. Perth Airport is a domestic and international airport used by various foreign airlines as the entrance to Australia. Although, most airlines fly into Sydney, there are connection flights direct to Perth from most Australian capital cities.

By Ship or Ferry - Rottnest Island can be reached by a short ferry ride from Fremantle. The ferries take around , 45 minutes from Hillary's Boat Harbour, 25 minutes from Fremantle or 1 hour from Perth. A number of ferry companies can transport you to Rottnest.

By Bus - The Fremantle CAT (City Area Transport) is a free, high frequency service that operates around Fremantle CBD and tourist precinct. It operates approximately every ten minutes.
