Yangebup is a great suburb just north of Beeliar in Perth’s southern suburbs. As part of the City of Cockburn, and consequently the wetland area of Perth, Yangebup is a fantastic area to access all of the prominent lakes of the region such as Bibra and North Lake. The name of Yangebup was approved in 1977 as it took the name of the majestic Yangebup Lake just to the east of the suburb.
Also similar to many of the surrounding areas, Yangebup is surrounded by many reserves and parkland including Milgun Reserve, The Perena Rocchi Reserve, Nicholson Reserve and the land that surrounds the entire circumference of the almost circular Yangebup Lake.
As a nice quiet place for a family getaway, Yangebup also has the conveniences of the nearby Fremantle and Perth centres. Yangebup is almost 26km south of the Perth CBD on the southern side of the Swan River. With plenty of things to experience, make Yangebup one of your holiday stops.
