Jandakot has played host to many visitors during the last 40 years. Mainly due to the establishment of the Jandakot Airport, the main life support of this astonishing area of Southern Perth. These tourists include Aviation enthusiasts, educational visitors, families enjoying a day out, and recently crowd drawn by the Red Bull air race.
Jandakot has many cafes restaurants and shops to enjoy. Some of which are located on the Airport premises. The Runway Cafe, situated upstairs at the Royal Aero Club, and the Aviators Cafe, situated next to the Control Tower are arguably the most popular places to indulge yourself.
Jandakot is situated just north of Atwell and Thomsons Lake. With great proximity to the regional wetlands of Cockburn and the coastline of Coogee and Fremantle, you will not find a better place so close to every thing in South Perth.
The Airport is the main attraction for the area. There is a public viewing area next to the Tower, this gives a close up view of aircraft landing and departing. There is a public barbecue available for use in this area.
