Overview

Turkey Creek is a small Aboriginal community situated between Kununurra and Halls Creek, otherwise known as "Warmun". There is a roadhouse with fuel and basic accommodation.

Situated along the Great Northern Highway, it is one of the principal access points to the beautiful Purnululu National Park. Turkey Creek has become an ideal base from which tour operators collect clients who wish to explore the magnificent Bungle Bungle Ranges. Experience the exhilaration of a helicopter flight over both station country and national park. Fly over and through the Osmond Ranges, Bungle Bungle Massif, Beehive Domes, Horseshoe Valley and the Western Wall.

One will see huge termite mounds within the rich, red ochre landscape.

Turkey Creek has an active and vibrant artists community, with artists such as Queenie McKenzie, Madigan Thomas and others.
