Beaches opened mid 2007, so it was still fairly new when we visited June 2008. There is a bus stop out the front & it's walking distance to cable beach. All dorm rooms were full, so we had to take a dbl. The room, reception, bathrooms, pool area & kitchen all clean.
It was $130 per night, which included cereal & toast for breakfast. The kitchen had almost no saucepans & pans though, which meant long waits to cook. I'd stay there again, but book a triple dorm instead & take a cooking pan. They also have a great bar (Zee Bar) & Cafe (Zoo Cafe) adjacent.
