Goode Beach has crystal clear water and white sand. It is an excellent beach for swimming as it is sheltered from the westerly and southerly winds. A popular walk is near the Whaling Station. Various tracks extend to the left to a site where yet another perspective of the Albany town can be seen.
This trail extends almost to the rear of Camp Quaranup, which overlooks Princess Royal Harbour.
Goode Beach is a perfect family swimming beach for the summer months. The beach is also a great windsurfing beach. During summer when winds from the east are a regular occurrence, Goode Beach takes the brunt of those winds and the wind-surfing is great.
