Jurien Bay is the largest town in the Dandaragan Shire and it has developed as a result of the growth of the rock lobster industry. In more recent times the town has become a popular holiday and recreation area because of its attractive coastline and seclusion. Like Cervantes, visitors to Jurien can also enjoy the incredible marine life found in the waters off the town and have the opportunity to interact with seals, enjoy swimming, snorkelling and fishing as well as exploring the offshore reefs and islands in the area.
The town of Jurien Bay is earmarked as the future sub-regional centre for the central west coast. The town already boasts a modern boat harbour, which has become the focus for the expanding aquaculture industry. It also has a sea rescue group, a multi purpose health centre, childcare facilities, a district high school and a variety of accommodation and restaurant choices.
A full range of dining experiences are available in Jurien Bay from a la carte dining, Alfresco Cafe to counter meals, takeaway and fast foods. A full range of accommodation is available including motel, hotel, caravan park, self contained cottages and chalets.
