**February 8th 2009 – Virtually the entire township of Marysville in the Yarra Valley has been destroyed by bushfires, including hotels and popular tourist attractions.
Cumberland Walk, 16km from Marysville along the Woods Point Road. This 4km scenic walk through old-growth Mountain Ash and rainforest is steeped in history. Phantom Falls, 13km from Marysville along Lady Talbot Drive. A short steep 400metre walk takes you up to these charming fern shaded falls.
