Lake Albacutya Regional Park 

The dominant feature of this park is the lake, which fills from Lake Hindmarsh when the Wimmera River is in flood. As the water level fell, the lake bed was invaded by plants taking advantage of the bare ground.

Flora 7 Fauna - Large numbers of water birds can be seen when there is water in the lake. Common birds in the Red Gum community include the Red-rumped Parrot, White-plumed Honeyeater, Striated Pardalote, Tree Martin and Regent Parrot. Emus and Western Grey Kangaroos frequent the open areas.

• Lake Albacutya supports a diverse range of fauna including Black Box, River Red Gum, multi-stemmed mallee eucalypts guinea flowers, Desert Banksia, tea-tree and she-oaks saltbush and 3 species of Nerve Wattle.
