Roses Gap

Roses Gap in the peaceful Wartook Valley has the natural aparatus to get your heart racing. An Australian aboriginal legend says Roses Gap was made by Tchingal, a monstrous emu. Tchingal struck at the mountain with her foot, splitting it in two, forming Roses Gap.

Surrounded by the beautiful Grampians National Park, Roses Gap is popular for abseiling and rock climbing enthusiasts. There is a recreation centre, used for school camps and outdoor workshops and many beautiful settings to have a picnic, bbq or birdwatch.

  • The road through Roses Gap follows the foot of the magnificent sandstone bulwarks that form the northern cliffs of the Mount Difficult Range.
