Wartook Valley is peaceful; but it can still offer you the outdoor adventures that the Grampians are known for! The spectacular mountain views within the Grampians, secluded creeks and spectacular waterfalls are truly a natural marvel. The Valley is to the northwest of the Grampians National Park, (an area known as the 'sunny side' of the Grampians) and is the main entry into the Grampians and to MacKenzie Falls.
The area includes the bush land oasis - Rose’s Gap which features camping grounds and great picnic havens, Mt Zero, Hollow mountain and Mt Stapylton, Dadswells Bridge, Laharum, Brimpaen and Wartook. Here you can experience Koori rock art and visit some of Australia’s largest olive groves situated on the mountain sides.
Getting There Visitors travelling along the Great Ocean Road towards Halls Gap, in the Grampians, will be looking to visit MacKenzie Falls. The Wartook Valley is a natural extension from MacKenzie Falls and is only a short drive further on. If you are travelling from either Adelaide, Coonawarra, Naracoorte caves or Horsham; travel down the western highway to an intersection about 15 minutes southeast of Horsham. This is the Northern Grampians Road - turn right to enter the Wartook Valley.
