The Balconies Restaurant 

Nice place, excellent staff reception, but food was very ordinary...for the price we paid ($45/head) I expected a little better..samosas and chicken wings on the entree list!!! Well that just tells it all folks. Anyway the mains selection was broad, but we found the salmon was dry and very boring and porterhouse average. Not many places to choose from in Halls Gaps - so I guess beggars can't be choosers!

Excellent fresh, well presented and selected food made the mains very good with a welcoming fresh and non-commerical taste. Desserts were ok (some good, some ok). There is a nice view of mountains and internal ambience/decor. Friendly service and quick food however sometimes slow to return to table for reordering/clearing. Saturday night Jazz music is great for Jazz lovers but quiet enough for non-jazz's as well!!
