The coastal village of Port Welshpool enjoys excellent recreational fishing from the historic long jetty or by boat from the local boat ramp, and many commercial fishermen use this busy port. The port offers superb views of Wilsons Promontory, and is a popular holiday destination for families, with its safe swimming beaches, walking tracks, and picnic and barbecue facilities.

  • Featuring the Port Welshpool & District Maritime Museum, the port is also the maritime gateway to Refuge and Sealers Cove.

  • 2.5 hours drive from Melbourne along the South Gippsland Highway
