Daylesford and Hepburn Springs are set in the Wombat forest an easy 80 minutes drive (110 km) from Melbourne.
The area is renowned for its Mineral Waters which flow continually from the 72 springs throughout the area. Historically the towns were founded on gold diggings. Many Swiss-Italians arrived in the late 1800's, and influenced the architecture, festivals and lifesyle.
The mineral waters, crisp clean air, forest, and abundance of holistic healers attract people looking for relaxation and healing. Scattered throughout the region is a multitude of accommodation - for all tastes.
Great for forest walks, massage, spas walks on the historic streets and spending money at the boutique and crafty stores.
