This building was erected in 1859, specifically to accommodate the Federal Standard newspaper office and printing works.
One of the few substantially intact provincial newspaper offices of the gold-mining era in Victoria, it still houses the printing equipment that was used to produce the Federal Standard until its closure in 1969. More details
