Mount Stirling is one of the most untouched alpine resorts in the whole of Australia. Located adjacent to Mt Buller, this is the perfect destination for those who are seeking a pristine highland experience.
Mt Stirling is the only Victorian alpine resort an undeveloped summit, offering a readily accessible ‘semi-wilderness’ opportunity for visitors. The summit is situated at 1749 metres and offers panoramic views of surrounding mountain ranges. The spectacular high country scenery features sub-alpine and Alpine Ash forests, Snow Gum woodlands and wide expanses of alpine meadows that is absolutely stunning in both summer and winter.
Summer is an amazing time of year at Mt Stirling. The meadows are filled with wildflowers, and tourists can experience adventures and a new array of activities including 4-Wheel driving, bushwalking, mountain biking, horse riding and fishing.
With an average snow fall of 99cms, and more than 68km of maintained trails, winter provides Mt Stirling with all that is necessary for it to become a popular skiing centre with something for all skills. Activities include skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing, snow camping and lots more.
