Ensay is located on the junction of the Little River and the Tambo River and is on the Great Alpine Road.
The home of Ensay Winery, the Little River Inn and with a General Store selling petrol the town can provide your needs and has a rich history as a part of the region, dont be afraid to ask the locals.
If you continue south on the Great Alpine Road it follows the river until Tambo Crossing which is the southern most end of the Omeo region for all practical purposes. The region is based on the old Omeo Shire which extended much closer to Bruthen.
Continuing south will take you to Bruthen, Lakes Entrance and Bairnsdale. Travel time from Tambo Crossing to Bruthen would be around 30 minutes.
