Drawing visitors to this special place for more than a century, Lorne has a charm that's hard to surpass. One of Lorne’s biggest drawcards, 30m high Erskine Falls is in walking distance.

Set between the waters of Loutit Bay and the cool Otway forests, the town's unique qualities were recognised early, Lorne was the first Victorian place to be declared an area of Special Significance & Natural Beauty over 100yrs ago!

Add mild weather, a touch of the café culture, shops, boutiques galleries, and some fantastic fishing spots, it's no wonder Lorne is one of the Great Ocean Road’s most popular holiday destinations.

Lorne comes alive and is almost overrun with people during the Pier to Pub Swim, New Year’s Eve Falls Festival and Anaconda Adventure Race. For those who prefer to get their thrills from the raw energy of rock music, The Falls Festival, held every New Year’s Eve, is an essential experience.
