Located within the majestic sweep of ocean beach, Aboriginal middens and coastal lakes at Discovery Bay Coastal Park, is a cape of outstanding beauty. 130 metres above sea level Cape Bridgewater is picture perfect. Features include a seal colony, blowholes, a "petrified forest" and the highest coastal cliffs in Victoria.
Suspended lookouts strengthened by cables offer breathtaking views over the white sands and deep-blue waters of Bridgewater Bay. At the blowhole, watch as the sea spray blasts metres skyward. Take in the surreal landscape of the petrified forest which looks like a forest of tree roots turned into rock.
A two hour walk around the cape takes visitors to a lookout above mainland Australia’s largest breeding colony of fur seals. Join a boat tour for a closer look at these playful animals.
