Okay, but nothing special

Very disappointed, more room in my car boot

Posted by Angelfunk from horsham 3400

Only been here one night & already feel like I need to tell everybody not to come here if you want to really get away. I feel like I'm in Coronation Street. The kids have to battle with the vehicles for their play area. It is so cramped. Its set up is so impractical. If I even begin to describe the swimming pool I get teary eyed. It is not close to the beach. It is not 5 mins from the city and any pictures shown are only of the cabins. They dont show the actual caravan park for a reason. Very disappointing and definitely should not be described as one of the big four... dont do it..book elsewhere

Very clean and comfortable

Unless the management has changed and the place has gone way down hill I would happily stay at the Riverview Tourist Park again. They were friendly, helpful and the place was really nice.

very disapointed

In short don’t stay, the river glen next door is a much better option and cheaper too. Management are rude, if you question anything, you are spoken to in a very unfriendly manner. The air conditioners are obviously limited to reduce their own running costs; hence on a hot day they won’t cool your cabin.
We stayed in what they called a deluxe cabin; the cabin itself was nice but very poor cooling. The pool, seemed like the only refuge, yet on New Years Eve, everyone had to get out a 8pm no exceptions. Where do you go then, your cabin was still very hot and don’t think about playing some quite music as that’s not allowed either. It didn’t matter how quite the music was we were told no music at all.
We have a young family there and going into Geelong we considered too dangerous on New Year’s. So what could we do, but sit outside our cabin in silence and welcome the New Year. Thanks river view for giving us our worst new years ever. Not a family park at all. Big thumbs down to you.
