Harcourt is a small town located in a valley at the foot of Mt Alexander in the Central Goldfields of Victoria. The Harcourt Valley boasts famous fruit orchards as well as a range of boutique vineyards producing acclaimed wines and excellent liqueurs and ciders.
Follow the Calder Highway; lined with apple and pear orchards, into Harcourt, stopping along the way at roadside stalls to pick the finest produce of the area for your own enjoyment. Or help the locals celebrate the rich produce of the region at the Harcourt Applefest, held annually on the March long weekend. Street stalls, art shows, music, parades and much more brings the town to life.
The Harcourt and Barkers Creek Reservoirs offer some great country fishing and Oak Forest in the Mount Alexander Regional Park is popular for picnicking and its great views.
