Truly spectacular!

A spa, a beer and a view!

Posted by Starz from Melbourne

I just love visiting Kooyoora Retreat. This is the third time I’ve stayed in the retreat and it keeps getting better! Nothing beats a relaxing spa and a cold beer on a mid-30-degree-celcius day (or any other temperature for that matter).

On this particular stay we climbed Mt Kooyoora...almost... We thought we had climbed it but then realised we’d only reached the summit of the smaller peak. What a great reason to come back again! It was just gorgeous walking in mountainous bushland, seeing kangaroos and wild rabbits, listening to the birds announce our arrival to the rest of the birds. And what a thrill looking down on the retreat through binoculars and watching Midnight (resident horse) and Milly (resident pony) graze about!

This is a truly beautiful escape from the suburbs, the city and the rat race. After overcoming our initial withdrawals from lack of carbon monoxide, we had a fantastic stay – as always.

Looking forward to our next outback Australia trip!

Many thanks to our much obliging hosts Barb, Ian, David, Moody, Milly, Jess (chubby labrador) and Blue (blue healer thingy). See you all soon!!!

Very Relaxing.

Posted by Andy Graafmans from Mitcham, Australia

Our stay at Kooyoora park retreat was amazing. We spent the weekend being pampered with peace and quiet, whilst sipping on some fine red wine and relaxing in the outdoor spa with a magical view of Mt Kooyoora. Thanks to Barb, we were able to enjoy some of the different scenic views and pass on some history of the sounding area's that gives us more appreciation to the stay.
Was nice to have the freedom to wonder around the bush tracks and visit some of the old sites such at crystal mines and explore the Melville caves.
I recommended Kooyoora Park Retreat to anyone who is looking to get away from it all and needing to recharge yourself. Thank you so much, and we'll definitely coming back for more soon.

Seclusion, tranquility, convenience and value!

Posted by HTD from Moorabbin, Australia

For a couple who have travelled extensively but cherish our privacy and solitude, Kooyoora Park Retreat is the ideal hideaway for us.

Secluded, peaceful surroundings; peace and quiet; and friendly pets who made sure we weren't lonely. All the towels and linen were supplied, which for us is a huge bonus.

The fully self-contained unit with front and back verandahs and spa is spotlessly clean, very comfortable, and conducive to complete relaxation. We forgot to bring our Andre Rieu DVDs, but were content with the cards and board games on hand, catching up on some reading, or just gazing at the trees and sky, and listening to the abundant birdlife.

We were greeted with a lovely gift pack - and a loaf of Barb's freshly-baked bread. Fresh water, fruit, juice and milk were laid on, and freshly-laid eggs, bacon, tomatoes and sausages made for splendid BBQs on the verandah.

Apart from strolls around the property, there are plenty of nearby attractions to walk off the meals!

And for those interested in model and general engineering, Ian's fabulous workshop and his superb craftsmanship are added attractions.

All in all, Kooyoora Park Retreat is just what we needed to re-charge and refresh - and the value speaks for itself.

Girl's long weekend

A great big thank you to our hosts Barb and Ian for making our stay such a happy one. 3 days of being utterly spoilt. Loved the food, spa, camp fire each night, our visit to the winery and for the very informative bush walks that Barb took us on. Nothing was too much trouble. 5 Hardworking mums found the beautiful and peaceful countryside very rejuvenating. Thank you so much for all your attention to detail. Great value. Thank you Barb for giving me back the spring in my step. As Arnie says - I'll be back.
