Buninyong

Buninyong is charming historic town located just 10 minutes south of Ballarat. Buninyong marks the site where gold was discovered a number of weeks before Ballarat. The township is one of the first inland settlements in Victoria.

The magnificent views of Buninyong are unrivalled in the area and that is enough of an attraction for visitors. However, this community offers much more with activities and attractions to suit all tastes.

Presently, the heritage buildings have been restored and Buninyong offers a range of clothing stores, tearooms and art and craft galleries for the interest of visitors. Overlooking the township is Mount Buninyong. The mountain offers breathtaking views of the region and an abundance of walking tracks.

Things to do
