Nestled in the rolling foothills of the Strzelecki Ranges of South Gippsland, Korumburra is a peaceful country town only 1.5hrs drive from Melbourne. With a landscape reminiscent of the English moors, this former coal mining town is known as the "Heritage Centre of South Gippsland".

Home to Coal Creek Heritage Village, a 30-acre outdoor museum depicting life in the area over the period of the 1870s to 1920s, Korumburra is also the base of the South Gippsland Railway.

Korumburra Railway Station, located on Station Street, features a railway museum displaying artefacts from the entire South Gippsland Line.

Korumburra is centrally located to a number of attractions in the area including Wilsons Promontory National Park and bushwalking in the Strzelecki Ranges.

Korumburra is 120 kilometres (75 mi) south-east of Melbourne.

Further Information

Korumburra's shopping precinct is located along the wide boulevard of Commercial Street, enjoying an attractive backdrop of green hills.
