Delux Cabin

Posted by Delux cabins review from Tasmania

Had stayed previously & found accommodation to be excellent. This time stayed at a "Deluxe Cabin" and was disappointed. Was clean & had everything, but the size of the bedroom & bathroom/toilet/shower was disappointing. With shower/wash basin & toilet in an area of about 1m wide X 3m long it was difficult to move around in. Suggest if you wish to stay here & like a bit more room, dont book these cabins.

Noisy and crowded

Posted by FoBird from Glengarry, Australia

Small sites mean this caravan park will have you living on very intimate terms with your neighbours, and only luck decides whether you'll get a good night's sleep or not.
When we were there the park wasn't full but they still put everyone cheek by jowl up against each other, instead of spacing us out. We were also in the middle of a large and rather rowdy group, which seemed rather inconsiderate given that we are a family with small children.
The park proprietors were not at all concerned about music being played until midnight - when we left (a few days early), they said they normally recommend parking your car between you and the offending noise makers. Is a car an effective noise barrier?
On the subject of cars, because the sites are small, there is a jumble of parked vehicles up and down the strip, adding to the crowded feel of the place.
The big drawcard is the pool. And a lovely pool it is too, large and clean. But watch out for the slippery tiles on all four sides of it - treacherous.
If you prefer your camping a little more 'country', with fellow campers of a like mind when it comes to enjoying tranquillity, this place is not for you.

Response from Leisure Ville Holiday Centre

We are sorry that you feel your concerns were not given more consideration. At peak season most caravan parks are virtually full and ours is no exception so your neighbours are not far away. In a tent soundproofing is non-existent and when the air is still sound carries a long way. So we suggest you not erect your tent against the bedroom of the adjacent cabin but put your vehicle at least between your tent and the cabin. We regularly check that noise is not excessive but what may be annoying to some is not to others. In this case no excessive noise was noticed when checked on several occasions of an evening but we cannot constantly check. While there may have been vacant sites in other parts of the park these would have been taken up at some time during the week that was originally booked, making it hard to place people where best suited. We are glad that the respondent enjoyed our many recreational facilities on site especially the pool. While the tiles adjacent the pool may appear slippery when wet they have been professionally treated about 6 months ago to give a grip, when wet that exceeds the Australian standard.
