Culzean Gardens

Early Anglo-Indian is the style of the house built on this property in about 1841.

A 3-acre lake surrounded by thousands of water irises and water fowl in season and water lilies in summer, is the centrepiece of this tranquil garden, and mature exotic trees and hundreds of different conifers are the background to a changing display.

Spring visitors will see hectares of spring bulbs, including daffodils, bluebells and wood anemones.

Overlapping this display and running through to November, is a burst of rhododendrons and azaleas, which in turn blend into the flowering season for hundreds of roses in November and December and again from February to March.

Also in Westbury is the White House built in 1841, the Westbury Maze and Pearns Steam World.
