Situated 10kms northeast of St Helens; the coastal resort town of Binalong Bay is no longer a sleepy retirement village, but a popular holiday venue for surf lovers and people who enjoy ocean fishing.
The area boasts some truly breathtaking coastal reserves, notably the Humbug Point Recreation Area, Bay of Fires Coastal Reserve, and, further north, the native heath lands of The Gardens.
With a population of roughly 200, Binalong Bay is positioned at the northern end of the Bay of Fires, and features a small harbour, pure sandy beach and the ever popular seafood restaurant, Angasi.
