We stayed in the hotel section and with the decor it felt like you were in a castle. Great room, quiet, clean, secure, loved the bathroom, restaurant is worth a visit. Had a fabulous stay and its in a convenient locality with good parking facilities.

Excellent, affordable, comfortable accomodation.

Would highly recommend Penny Royal. My husband and I stayed there for a long weekend in April 09. The room was very comfortable and located right on the Tamar River and within walking distance to Cataract Gorge. Magnificent!!!

Easy access

I stayed here in March 2007 with overseas visitors. We had a 2 bedroom self contained apartment which was extremely comfortable and well equipped. The only drawback as far as I could see is that if you had small children or any one handicapped, unless you stipulated a ground floor unit, the many steps would prove too difficult. At that time, the restaurant and bar were closed for renovation, but hopefully these amenities are not only now available, but also as good value for money as the accommodation. Also, easy walking to other restaurants nearby.
