Situated in south Tasmania is the mountain Collins Cap, at an altitude of about 1064m above sea level. Collins Cap is surrounded by Collins bonnet, Mount Marian, Trestle mountain and the towns of Collinsvale, New Norfolk and the village of Fern Tree.

There is an established walk through three of the mountains that can be achieved in one day. It starts from the Myrtle Forest carpark and is 5 1/2 hrs in duration. Hikers are rewarded with lovely views of the New Norfolk, the Derwent River and east of Hobart city. This walk is a steadily climbing walk through a variety of vegetation types.
