Naracoorte Caves National Park is an important World Heritage listed site within the limestone ranges of SA.
The park preserves 600 ha of remnant vegetation, with 26 caves contained within the 305ha World Heritage Area - the most famous being Victoria Fossil, Wet, Blanche and Alexandra Caves.
In caverns beneath the cave range visitors may view the decorations of calcite, fossils of long-extinct animals and view Bent-Wing Bats in the caves.
The Wonambi Fossil Centre contains numerous fossil displays, as well as a walk through diorama with life-sized models of extinct animals in their ancient habitats. This interpretive centre also illustrates how the caves have acted as pitfall traps, dens and roosts for more than 500,000 years.
Naracoorte Caves National Park is home to a camping ground and caravan park, dormitory accommodation for groups, picnic grounds and a licensed café.
