The Mary MacKillop Interpretive Centre and the Woods. MacKillop Schoolhouse commemorate the lives of Blessed Mary MacKillop and Father Julian Tenison Woods with displays, photographs, artifacts and history.
The Schoolhouse is a heritage-listed building, which is now displayed as a schoolroom of the 1860's with living quarters at the rear. The Interpretive Centre is an outstanding building constructed in 1998. It contains the Mary MacKillop and the Julian Tenison Woods galleries where information on their lives is presented together with the early history of Penola and district.
There is a shop with mementos, cards and books, research and video rooms, refreshments, public toilets and disabled access.
