North Star Hotel 

We stayed there in the weird and wonderful units out the back. Accommodation was great. Meals were fairly good and all friends were happy with theirs although my steak was over cooked. Very quiet but apparently the locals go the other pub and will not be convinced to try the North Star, even though the proprietors are very accommodating to all comers. Would definitely recommend the hotel. Accommodation is in converted trucks with beautifully decked out units on the back. Sounds unusual and it is, but well worth a look. Outlook in the dining room to Mt Remarkable is great too.

We travelled there on a Tuesday & found that the hotel was closed. Their site doesn't indicate that the hotel isn't open every day. We won't be back.

This place is an oasis in the desert!! 5 star accommodation and service - We stayed three nights and had a very quiet stay and delightful food and town!!
