A rugged and varied peninsula of cliffs, mobile sand dunes, sheltered bays and sandy beaches surrounded by the waters of Boston Bay, Spencer Gulf and the Great Australian Bight.
Inland, granite outcrops rise above dense mallee vegetation. Several off-shore islands are included in the park.
The sheltered coves are suitable for mooring boats. Tall mallees overhang the shores providing shade for camping and picnic groups. Memory Cove Wilderness Area is limited to 15 vehicles per day and 5 camping sites. Bookings for camping and access can be made at the Visitor Information Centre opposite the jetty open 7 days a week.
