Originally a three roomed wooden school house, the museum houses a fine collection of artefacts and memorabilia from the pioneering era of Tumby Bay. Including the number one South Australian land title plus many maps and photographs and information on early pioneering families including the Mortlock, Swaffer, Wishart, Darling, Carro, Baillie, Thrings, Fitzgeralds, Durdin, Scott and Provis families.

Come and see our refurbished museum which includes sectional exhibits with many photographs, pen and ink sketches and history of the pioneering days in our district. Display cases of fascinating bric a brac, early records of the pioneering families, three rooms depicting kitchen, bedroom and parlour of the 1880's. There is a copy of the first title under the Torrens Land Act 1854, a milestone in Australian land transactions.
