Opal Air 

Opal Air Pty Ltd offers a range of scenic flights over Coober Pedy, the South Australian Outback and coastline.

Locally owned and operated, the tours include local 20-40min day and sunset flights over the lunar Coober Pedy landscape, Venus Bay and Back Beach where dolphins may be spotted.

Half and full day tours are available including flights to Flinders Island, the Old Ghan Railway Station at Oodnadatta and spectacular views of the Davenport ranges, Lake Eyre and the Eromanga Sea coastline.

Further Information

Flights are in a small high performance Cessna 210 for 3-5 passengers, with window views and supplied with headphones for ease of conversation and an enjoyable, comfortable flight. Private charters are also available. Personalised tours can be arranged including accommodated packages and links to 4WD tours, fishing charters and specialised opal tours.

Local Area

The West Coast of South Australia has a wealth of seafood, magnificent coastal scenery and wildlife. Departing Coober Pedy, Opal Air can also tour north to Dalhousie Thermal Springs, Uluru and/or Alice Springs with interstate flight connections or Ghan to Darwin. Itineraries can be flexible according to most requirements.
