Overview

Mount Wudinna is one of the Gawler Ranges biggest drawcards. One of Australias largest granite monoliths, Mt Wudinna is an impressive formation and affords truly awe-inspiring views.

The walk to the top of Mt Wudinna is relatively easy and can only take a matter of minutes. The walk's definitely worth it as the views from 261m are spectacular and span miles around.

The outcrops range in size from flat platforms and low domes to higher domes (example Little Wudinna Rock, Polda Rock, Turtle Rock and Pygery Rock); all dwarfed by the massive structure of Mount Wudinna.

Conveniently located 10km from Wudinna, you will find several picnic sites with BBQ facilities at the base, as well as a parking area and shelter. The roads are well sign-posted and suitable for travel by cars, caravans and buses.

Camping is not permitted.

Further Information

South Australia's largest explosed monolith; Mount Wudinna also features an interpretive walking trail, which offers a pleasant walk and an abundance of information about the rock, its history, formation and local flora.
