Rhynie is a small town in South Australia, halfway between Tarlee and Auburn, along the Main North Road. It was surveyed and founded in 1859.
Rhynie, is famed for its historic pub. The Rhynie Hotel was the first pub north of Adelaide that was deemed 'bona fide' - hence it could serve liquor and food after 6:00pm only if drinkers could present themselves as 'bona fide' travellers. Furthermore, a lot of local 'travellers' presented themselves.
