Ridiculously tight car parking. Inefficient heating, old style air-conditioner. No hanging space in bathroom, 1 hook available with their robes on it. Shower temperature not easily adjusted, often went cold. Rate per night $195, 4 star rated, expected a lot more for that price, and star rating.
Response from Clare Country Club
Good to receive opportunity to receive feedback from guests, positive or otherwise. In regards to car parking, this is the only occasion I have received negative comments. Guests are usually very pleased to be able to park in front or adjacent to their rooms, and flow of traffic throughout the resort and parking space has in the past never been an issue of complaint. The air-conditioning systems in each room are of the older variety, but work effectively and adequately, providing necessary cooling and heating for the extremes of heat and cold the Clare Valley experiences throughout the year. There is one hook attached for the bathrobes on each bathroom door. There is however, ample railing for towels, linen, clothes etc in each bathroom. Furthermore, we are proud to announce a refurbishment programme of the Resort facilities has been undertaken and currently underway. We have committed a significant amount of funds to upgrade facilities in all guest rooms and public areas. Electrical items such as iPod docking stations, LCD TVs, new mini bar fridges and DVD players have already been installed in all guest rooms. New carpet, ensemble bedding and linen, furniture and light fixtures will also be installed, giving all guest rooms a contemporary stylish feel of which guest comfort can be assured. Completion date is scheduled for the end of Mid July 2009.
