Aldgate 

The town of Aldgate grew following the construction of the Aldgate Inn in 1864, (now the Aldgate Pump). The village has retained its historic feel, with the town's historic buildings now home to a selection of art and craft shops and restaurants.

Stangate House built in 1840 features and extensive Camelia garden and the town's deciduous trees are a delight in both spring and autumn.

Aldgate has a great range of good eateries and offers the visitor an array of crafts and fine arts that is hard to beat. It also has much to offer the tourist or day-tripper looking for something different in a day out in the Hills.
