Hahndorf 

Hahndorf is one of the Adelaide Hill’s most popular tourist towns. Australia’s oldest surviving German settlement, there’s a great range of smallgood outlets and German bakeries that line the town's bustling main street.

Interiors burst with delectable smells and tastes; delicacies like cheeses, chutneys, sauces, cured meats and wines overwhelm. Fashion, furniture, German beer and authentic German cuisine are sure to please all tastes.

There are several good winery cellar doors in the area, and you can even pick your own strawberries at Beerenberg. Kids will love the Hahndorf Farm Barn, a combination of a children's farmyard and a nature wildlife park.

A visit to The Cedars is hugely rewarding. This picturesque estate is located on the outskirts of town, and was one the home and studio of Australia’s own Hans Heysen, 9-time winner of the Australian Wynne Prize for landscape.
