Located on Shepherds Hill Road in Blackwood, Wittunga Botanic Garden contains displays of Australian and South African plants that are especially spectacular in spring. Included in the garden are rich collections of Erica, Leucadendron and Protea complimented by displays of exotic and unusual bulbs and colourful annuals.
Meandering pathways through the Terrace and Sandplain Gardens give visitors the opportunity it see these distinctive and colourful collections and the many different birds attached by the good supplies of nectar produced by the flowers of plants in the collection.
With its shady lawns alongside the beautiful lakeside setting, the garden is a popular place for family gatherings and picnics.
