The Classic Jets Fighter Museum houses a permanent collection of jet aircraft built between 1950 and 1980 flown by the Royal Australian Air Force and Royal Australian Navy. They include well known Avon Sabre A94-974, F8 Gloster Meteor A77-867 and DH Sea Venom WZ-939, which were flown off Australia's last aircraft carrier, HMAS Melbourne. Other aircraft from the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) are also on display along with engines, flight suits, photographs and an excellent display of historical aviation artefacts in well-lit cabinets. The museum's magnificent restored Mirage III, A3-16 may also be viewed.
In a major coup the Classic Jets Fighter Museum has acquired an extremely rare and well preserved Second World War Lockheed Lightning fighter aircraft. Visitors to the museum can follow the restoration of this impressive twin engine fighter from Papua New Guinea over the coming years.
There are also Second World War aircraft relics of Papua New Guinea. Buried for over 50 years, the shattered remains of a veteran Curtiss P40 Kitt
