Truly spectacular!

What a beautiful Island

Posted by a Traveller, Australia

Located off Mission Beach, this would have to be one of the most beautiful islands on the Barrier Reef.

There is an expensive resort, but as it is a National Park, you can camp there for 3 days. Get your camping permit on the mainland before you arrive.

You are not allowed to use the resort facilities whilst camping but we snuck into the pool a couple of times.

The highlight is the spectacular rainforest that blankets the island, & the giant blue butterflies that live here. There are some well-marked walks you can go on through the dense rainforest, which would have to be one of the best I have ever seen in the world.
